The Name

TSUBASA · noun · “wings”

A shuttlecock is, quite literally, a pair of wings — sixteen feathers set in a cork crown, built for one purpose: flight. We named the brand for that single moment, the instant the shuttle leaves the strings and takes the air.

Tsubasa (翼 / ツバサ) is the Japanese word for wings. It carries the discipline and precision Japan is known for. Our mark roots that idea in a five-petal sakura, drawn with feathered veins so the blossom reads as both flower and flight.
